Lodi Gardens is one of Delhi's most beautiful parks and popular picnic spot. The landscaped gardens, with several lotus ponds and fountains,were built around majestic tombs of the Lodhi and Sayyid Sultans who ruled Delhi in the 15th and 16th century. These tombs boast of excellent architure, which was later used in the construction of the Taj Mahal. The 'Bara Gumbad Mosque' and the 'Sheesh Gumbad' are two other imposing structures here. | ||
