Ravindra Kalakshetra :
The Kalakshetra, built to commemorate Rabindranath Tagore's centenary, promotes cultural activity in the city. It has a superb theatre and houses the Cultural Academy Offices. The Gothic styled 'Puttannachetty Town Hall' located nearby has a huge auditorium having a seating capacity of 1,500 people.
