- A mega eco quiz with slogan competition
"Kaun Banega Eco Pati" was conducted. This
day saw winners who were seated at the hot
seat - the mega eco quiz. This quiz saw '
Eco Pati' Dr. Chaitali (wellness club) as
the eventual winner of cash prize of Rs. 1000/-
& departmental team quiz winners comprising
of Mr. Ashok (Pur), Ms. Sagina (HR), & Mr.
Nagraj (Stores) were bestowed with a cash
prize of Rs. 1500/- for their excellence.
Earth Day - April 22
On the occasion of Earth Day a poster painting
contest was organized by Lotus Suites. The
winners as decided were. 1st prize - Mr. Sreerem
Sugathan (Wellness Club) winning a dinner
for two at the Orchid Hotel. 2nd prize - Mr.
Sharad Chandrameher (Engg) winning a dinner
for two at the Rodas Hotel, 3rd prize - Mr.
Vikrant Lad (Engg) winning a dinner for two
at Starters & More. Consolation prize was
bestowed on Mr. Srinibas (Serv) winning a
one kg cake for The Lotus Suites Mumbai
World Water Day - March 22
Launch of Rain Center: Lotus Suites along
with Eureka Forbes Institute of Environment
and Rachna Sansad launched the Rain Harvest
Center. The launch took place on the occasion
of World Water Day - March 22. On this day
the assembled audience of about 100 Mumbaikars
came together at the unique Euro Enviro Park
and took the '5 Point Pledge' to follow practical
water savings tips everyday that would result
in each of them saving 40,000 litres of water
annually. This translates to a savings of
2 Million Litres of water.
Those present at the function included ALMs
of Mumbai, NGOs working in the field of Water
Conservation, Environmentalists, School/College
Principals and prominent citizens and corporates
of Mumbai, who have committed to promoting
the '5 point pledge card' to every Mumbaikar
they come across.
"The 'Water Harvesting Centre' is for education,
demonstration and guidance on Rainwater harvesting.
It has live models of rainwater harvesting
on permanent display and documentation of
actual work. Consultancy on Rainwater harvesting
at sites will be provided without cost. This
is the second joint initiative of the three
organizations after the successful first ever
'Harvest to harness' rainwater harvesting
contest last year
